Rising Star in Houston Wins the Better Business Bureau Pinnacle Award
Defeating Larger Corporations
Fair Marketing, Inc. received the Pinnacle Award at the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Awards for Excellence luncheon held Wednesday, May 8 at the Westin Galleria. This was fairmarketing’s fourth time to be recognized by the BBB for service excellence. Fair Marketing was honored by the BBB with their Winners of Distinction Award in 2009, 2010 and 2012. This year marks the first time that Fair Marketing has taken home the Pinnacle Award.
“I can hardly describe my excitement for winning this award,” said Roger Janik, Fair Marketing founder and principal. “When I heard our name called as the Pinnacle winner, it was a rush of emotions that overwhelmed both myself and our staff. This award symbolizes the perseverance, diligence, and aptitude that my team has demonstrated consistently over the years. We’ve spent endless days and nights formulating marketing and customer service strategies that have brought success to both us and our clients. We work hard to provide results driven marketing and performance to our clients and it is an honor to be recognized for our efforts.”
The story of how Fair Marketing earned the Pinnacle Award is almost like reading a David vs. Goliath story. It began in 2005, when Janik came up with the idea of starting a web marketing company that offered services beyond the expectations of their clients. Over the years, Janik hired a team of employees that were skilled in web programming, web design, SEO, PPC, and Social Media Marketing. They helped to earn the trust of clients by providing them with solid results while showing them value in their investments. As this happened time and time again, Fair Marketing was able to move ahead of the competition, despite the fact that Fair Marketing has fewer employees in comparison to larger IT companies in the Houston area. This did not stop them from growing and overcoming the odds to rise to the top as the best in their respective category.

“We may not have the numbers other IT companies do, but we have the determination it takes to be Number One,” Janik said. “Combine that with a select crew of team members that are each knowledgeable in their individual fields and you have the winning combination. To be able to receive this honor demonstrates that Fair Marketing has earned a place on the big stage. It took a lot of hard work to get there and we are not even close to being finished yet.”
The BBB Awards for Excellence recognizes businesses and non-profits for their achievements and commitment to overall excellence and quality in the workplace. Proceeds from the event help fund the BBB Education Foundation, which educates consumers about scams and fraudulent business practices in the Greater Houston area.
