Houston, TX, February 17, 2012 – Fair Marketing, a web marketing company based in Houston, has generously donated to a fundraiser put on by the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Houston Metro Lodge #98. The funds will go toward the Houston Metro FOP’s 2012 Annual Children’s Easter Basket Program. Fair Marketing is sponsoring two children through the program at MD Anderson Children’s CancerHospital. The donated funds will help purchase a life-sized teddy bear, a huge Easter Basket filled with gifts and a dinner for the child’s entire family.
“To bless these children in this way is such a tremendous gesture of compassion and consideration and we are proud to be able to give something that will brighten their day,” said Roger Janik, Fair Marketing president. “These children are facing situations that some of us cannot even begin to imagine. Any little bit we can do to bring joy and happiness into their lives is certainly our privilege.”
John Brinton, director of the program, said the event is large and consists of mostly police officers. “It is a program where we get together and decide on how to help the public outside of work,” Brinton said. “We put our time and effort into the kids, especially the young kids. We want them to look up to police officers and grow up on the right side of the law. And it is a good program for the economy.”
The Houston Metro FOP also puts on a Thanksgiving Turkey Drive and the Christmas “Cops and Kids” Program. Families receive turkeys, toys and bicycles during the holiday season through the program. This ensures that these families will have plenty of food for the holidays and even have some wishes granted. They also sponsor the Children’s “Back to School” Supplies Program, a new program, which gives children much-needed school supplies in the Cypress, Galena Park and Houston school districts.
Fair Marketing is listed as a Silver Sponsor for the program. Sponsors for the program can be found by logging on to the Houston Metro FOP website.
